Sex Therapy

Sex Isn’t Supposed to Feel This Complicated

Maybe you’ve lost your spark with your partner.
Maybe desire feels mismatched — one of you wants more, the other less

— and you can’t talk about it without tension.
Maybe sex has started to feel more like a chore, a pressure, or even something to avoid.

Or maybe you’ve been through sexual trauma and feel stuck between wanting connection and fearing it.

If any of this sounds familiar, you’re not alone. Sexual concerns are one of the most common issues couples and individuals face — but most people carry them silently, hoping they’ll “work themselves out.” The truth? They rarely do without the right kind of support.

How Sex Therapy Helps

Sex therapy is about more than just “fixing” a problem. It’s about understanding the emotional, psychological, and relational factors that influence your sexual life — and creating new ways to connect that feel safe, fulfilling, and real.

I offer a tailor-made approach that combines:

  • EMDR to help release the impact of sexual trauma stored in the body.

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to strengthen your emotional bond and create trust.

  • The Gottman Method to improve communication and repair ruptures.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to shift unhelpful thought patterns that block sexual confidence and pleasure.

  • Mindfulness-based tools to quiet anxiety, stay present, and reconnect with your body.

Together, we’ll look at the whole picture — your relationship dynamics, your personal history, your body’s responses, and the unspoken beliefs you carry about sex.

What to Expect

Our work is collaborative and tailored to your needs. I’ll guide you through conversations that might feel too difficult to have on your own — always with compassion, humor, and a focus on your goals. You won’t be asked to do anything sexual in our sessions. Instead, we’ll focus on insight, skill-building, and practical tools you can bring into your real life.

I offer virtual therapy for individuals and couples across California as well as both virtual and in-person sex therapy intensives in Mission Viejo, CA for those looking for a deeper, more focused experience.

If you’re ready to stop avoiding the conversation and start creating a sexual connection that feels alive again, sex therapy can help.
