Couples Therapy

You Love Each Other — But Something’s Missing

You and your partner care deeply about one another, yet lately it feels like you’re speaking different languages.
The spark you once had has dimmed.
Conversations about sex, desire, or intimacy either turn into arguments or don’t happen at all.

Maybe everyday stress, parenting, or work demands have pushed your relationship to the back burner.
Maybe you’ve been avoiding certain conversations because you’re afraid they’ll make things worse.
Or maybe the hurt runs deeper — broken trust, unresolved resentment, or emotional distance that feels impossible to bridge.

Whatever brought you here, you’re ready for things to change.

How Couples Therapy Can Help

Couples therapy isn’t about figuring out who’s “right” or “wrong” — it’s about understanding each other’s needs, breaking out of stuck patterns, and finding your way back to connection.

In our work together, we’ll:

  • Unpack the emotional and relational dynamics affecting your intimacy

  • Identify and shift patterns that keep you feeling distant or misunderstood

  • Learn tools to communicate openly and navigate conflict with more ease

  • Rebuild trust and create a foundation for intimacy that feels authentic and sustainable

I use a combination of:

  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) to strengthen emotional safety and closeness

  • The Gottman Method to improve communication and conflict resolution

  • EMDR when trauma or past relational injuries are impacting the present

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address thought patterns that block connection

  • Mindfulness-based practices to help couples stay present and engaged in moments of intimacy and conflict

Who I Work With

As a wife and working mom of two — plus my two amazing bonus kids — I understand firsthand how complex relationships can be when you’re juggling love, family, careers, and life’s curveballs.

  • Millennial & Gen X couples who feel emotionally or sexually disconnected

  • Couples in blended families and those navigating co-parenting with stepchildren

  • Partners from different cultural backgrounds working to bridge values, traditions, and communication styles

  • Age-gap couples navigating unique relational and life-stage dynamics

  • Non-traditional couples — including those who are kink-involved, nonmonogamous, queer, or exploring alternative relationship structures

  • Partners working to rebuild after infidelity or breaches of trust

  • Couples wanting to strengthen communication and emotional intimacy before and after major life transitions (marriage, children, relocation)

What to Expect

Sessions with me are structured yet flexible — you’ll get practical tools you can use right away, as well as space to explore the deeper issues fueling your challenges. I’m direct, empathetic, and not afraid to name the hard stuff, but I’ll always work at a pace that supports both of you.

I offer virtual couples therapy across California and both virtual and in-person therapy intensives in Mission Viejo, CA for couples who want a more focused, accelerated experience. If your busy schedule doesn’t allow for traditional weekly or biweekly therapy, I also offer intensives.

Your relationship doesn’t have to stay in this place of distance. Together, we can help you feel understood, connected, and on the same team again — in and out of the bedroom.
